An American chemical firm was acquired by a leading German energy conglomerate. Differences in the senior management structure and conflicts with formality and flexibility created tensions on both sides of the partnership. The firm contracted World Wise to design customized programs for the senior managers that built mutual understanding and enhanced dialogue. World Wise focused on taking measured steps to realize mutual goals, and in doing so, built greater trust and opened communication. Due to the success of this initiative, the program was expanded to a company-wide Global Skills training to further the integration process.
