Company Wide Global Skills Training
As companies enter new markets and hire international employees - accustomed to diverse languages and types of work culture, integrating global talent becomes a multi-faceted challenge.
World Wise company-wide Global Skills programs have a proven track record of enhancing international communication and relationship-building skills for companies entering or expanding their markets.
This includes designing tailored Integrated Business Training systems to support a company’s ability to expand its global operations and enhance local capacity. This World Wise proprietary system incorporates employee training needs with the client’s business platform. The Integrated Business Training System is applicable across the company, sustainable and quantifiable with detailed measurement of individual job performance standards.
World Wise was retained by Marathon Oil to ensure its numerous nationalities and international affiliates could work in high-performance global teams. Our Global Skills Team first assessed the scale of the company’s operations and individual affiliate needs. We then created highly customized training modules to support every aspect of Marathon’s global projects. This included company-wide global effectiveness training for up to 45 nationalities working together in multiple time zones. Aside from enhancing team-building and on-the-job effectiveness, according to the client, the results were immediately noticeable.
The following are testimonials from participants of the program at Marathon Oil:
“The Global Skills program I attended was outstanding. I think the class improved everyone's appreciation of ethnic and cultural differences and how awareness and appreciation of those differences or, lack thereof, can impact interpersonal relationships and team productivity and team performance. Most of the discussion is based on substantial experiences of the instructors, class participants and recent business case histories. I highly recommend the program.”
“I attended this session believing that I would gain a better understanding of the culture of the countries in which we audit, however what I gained was much more valuable, an insight into the cultures of my own staff.”
“The Global Skills workshop provided a unique opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about other cultures where we live and operate. Working in an international environment, the skills we learned were interesting, but more importantly should improve our effectiveness. This was time well spent.”
